Meet Daniel
Daniel Pais has a PhD in Biological Engineering by Lisbon University. Before joining ValGenesis, he worked for 8 years on Gene Therapy research, focusing on production and optimization of viral vectors in different companies and laboratories. In his PhD thesis, he implemented real‑time monitoring tools in Adeno-associated virus production processes. He joined the Consultancy Services in Product Life Cycle Management at ValGenesis as a Senior Data Scientist in 2021, to contribute to the continuous improvement of pharma and biopharma companies through the usage of multivariate data analysis and modelling. Since joining ValGenesis, he actively participated in projects involving technology transfer, pharma digitalization and data analysis and modelling, as well as providing training on the topics of Quality by Design and multivariate data analysis.
